Marvin has been an Executive Creative Director at Young & Rubicam, a visiting professor at the Pratt Institute, a volunteer firefighter, and a stand-up comic. He has founded a charter school and is a published poet and playwright.  Marvin's clients over the years have included host of brands and non-profits that he has helped make - or keep - famous.

 In addition to his work with MAB Strategic Marketing, Marvin is the president and founder of The Shadow Group, a creative and strategic marketing firm which serves both for and not-for-profit organizations. 

Prior to The Shadow Group, Marvin was at Young & Rubicam Advertising for sixteen years. He began as a copywriter and eventually became an Executive Creative Director, Executive Vice President. 

He a member of the Crystal Group which did marketing and advertising for Bill Bradley's Presidential Campaign, and consulted for President Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns.

Since 2002 Marvin has been a visiting professor at Pratt Institute in their graduate Design Management Program. he also taught advertising at St. John's University.

Marvin is a founder and Vice-Chair of The Bronx Charter School for Better Learning and a Founding Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Health Promotion Institute of AARP and the American Federation for Aging Research. He is also a board member for Generations United.

Marvin has produced and directed brand videos for several not-for-profit clients.

He's  had stories and poems published, both online and offline. A one-act play he wrote was produced and ran in libraries throughout Long Island. 

Marvin has been a volunteer fireman and a student and performer at the Upright Citizen's Brigade, a comedy improvisation theater in New York.

Marvin says, "My goal is to keep doing the things I'm doing until I get bad at doing them."
